Ridge Road

Ridge Road is a +300m² custom home designed as a forever home for a growing family. The brief focused on positioning the home to capture uninterrupted valley and sea views while creating generous spaces for hosting friends and family. Practical living was also important, including a large laundry to support the client’s Airbnb operations.

The home features 2.7m stud ceilings, walk-in tiled showers with dual shower heads, a freestanding bath, and a hidden scullery designed to appear as a pantry. A standout feature is the 7.1m wide stacking ranch slider with a level-entry track that opens the main living area directly onto the outdoor entertainment deck.

One of the biggest challenges was time. Construction could not begin until neighbour approval for boundary encroachments was secured, which arrived later than expected. This left only 3 months and 7 days to complete the build before Christmas and their son’s fifth birthday. With strong coordination from the team and favourable weather, the home was delivered on time, allowing the family to celebrate the holidays in their new space.
